Chicago: this consignment shop has quality used kimonos and kimono obis
at great prices. (The obi is the beautiful kimono sash; foreigners enjoy
displaying the obi as a table runner or door accent, etc). Head
downstairs to the corner to find the kimonos and obis. Exit 4, Meiji
Jingumae station.

great places to buy Japanese candy, sushi-themed erasers and other
inexpensive & fun gifts! Daiso 100 yen store is on Takeshita Street
in Harajuku; next to McDonalds.
